Devlog 8: Half way there
This week, our primary focus was finalizing the core game loop, and we're excited to announce that players can now experience a complete round from start to finish. The game now progresses through all key phases – starting, gameplay, voting, and returning to the lobby for the next round.
We've made significant progress on the voting system that concludes each round. Players can now cast votes for who they suspect is the imposter based on observed behaviors during gameplay. If the majority of the players voted right, there will be a score award for the good robots!
After voting concludes and results are revealed, the game now properly transitions back to the starting area, preparing everyone for the next round.
There's now also audio feedback for player interactions! We've made sure the audio doesn't get cluttered, because so much is happening with four players present.
A hud is there to tell each player's health and radiation level. We will be adding player icons, mutation icons and proper hud visual in our next update.
On the art side, we have made a lot of progress in terms of adding life and style to our game:
From completing the robots,
